The Mircale of January 15th 2009

On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 bound for Charlotte, NC made an emergency crash-landing into the Hudson River with 150 passengers and 5 crew members. All were reported safely rescued.[15] It is suspected that multiple bird strikes on both engines were the cause. Everyone was successfully rescued and there were no fatalities, though some passengers suffered minor injuries from the initial impact with the water.
